Privacy policy

Last updated: January 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Clima Studio processes personal data when you visit clima.studio, contact us, book a call, or become a client.

Data controllers and contact

Clima Studio is operated by two independent self-employed professionals (autónomos) based in Spain: Álvaro Bernal Nicolás and Jorge Carabias González. They act as joint data controllers for the processing described in this policy. You can contact us at hola@clima.studio. Address for notices: WeWork Castellana 77, Paseo de la Castellana 77, 28046 Madrid, Spain.

Personal data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process the personal data you provide through contact forms, email, scheduling a call, and during a client relationship. This may include identification and contact details (such as name and email address), professional information (such as company and role), communications content (such as messages and call notes), information needed for contracting and invoicing, and limited technical/usage data from the website (such as IP address and device/browser information) collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookies Policy. Please do not submit sensitive information through forms or email.

Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data to respond to inquiries and manage requests, which is based on your consent when you submit information and, in some cases, our legitimate interest in handling business communications. We process personal data to take steps prior to contracting and to provide services to clients, which is based on performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps requested by you. We process personal data for billing, accounting, and compliance obligations, which is based on legal obligations. We process limited data to protect the website and prevent abuse, which is based on legitimate interests. If you consent where required, we also process website analytics and UX data using Google Analytics and Hotjar to measure and improve the website.

Recipients and service providers

We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising. We may share personal data with service providers that act on our behalf and under appropriate contractual protections, only to the extent necessary to operate our website and business. This may include hosting and infrastructure providers (Amazon Web Services), analytics and UX providers (Google Analytics and Hotjar), and business tools used for operations such as CRM, email, and invoicing/accounting.

International transfers

We work with clients in Spain, the EU, and outside the EU. Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When international transfers are required, we use recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, with additional safeguards where appropriate.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Inquiry data for leads that do not become clients is typically kept up to 12 months after the last interaction. Client and project data is kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards as needed for operational continuity and potential claims. Invoicing and accounting records are typically kept up to 6 years to meet applicable legal obligations in Spain.

Your rights (EEA/UK)

Where applicable, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, to object to processing, and to request portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email hola@clima.studio.

Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making (including profiling) that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We may update this policy from time to time by posting a new version and updating the date above.
